The Hittite
The Hittite people were Indo-European, centred in Anatolia and Northern Syria between 1650-1180 B.C. Hittite Kings had absolute power and were viewed as deputies of God, at death becoming Gods themselves. Their society was feudal and agrarian, where iron-working technology was developed. Like its strong, warrior heritage, this grand suite is boldly decorated and includes sculptures of lions and traditional iron-work. |
